I guess this photo came to light recently although it was apparently found in '91 or so. I have sent it to you along side a self portrait that I feel clearly confirms that the photo is of Vincent (the photo is backwards as would have been seen in a mirror). There are many facial "landmarks" that are indicated in the painting and are clearly evident in the photo. There are so many, in fact that it becomes quite compelling.

I'm also curious to know if anyone out there would know how common it was back then to wear a suit jacket with only the top button buttoned. There are several other self portraits where his jacket is seen this way.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a skeptic at heart but, until someone can confirm that this is absolutely not a portrait of VvG, I will go with my assumptions!

I would love to hear what other folks think of this.
