Van Gogh Painting Stolen in Netherlands

30 March 2020

LAREN -- The Van Gogh painting The Parsonage Garden at Nuenen was stolen early Monday morning from the museum Singer Laren. The painting, owned by the Gronginger Museum in Groningen, was on loan to the Singer Laren for the exhibition "Mirror of the Soul. Toorop to Mondriaan" which runs from 14 January to 10 May 2020. The exhibition had been closed, along with the museum, because of the coronavirus outbreak.

A glass door was smashed during an early morning raid. It's unclear if any other art works were stolen.

Investigations continue.
