AMSTERDAM -- The Van Gogh Museum will be closing for renovations for six months in October, 2012. The museum, which will be undergoing safety and security upgrades will be closed until March, 2013.
The Van Gogh Museum attracts more than 1.5 million visitors annually. The museum has made arrangements with the Hermitage Amsterdam to display 75 Van Gogh paintings during the closure, thus ensuring that visitors to Amsterdam will continue to enjoy access to Vincent van Gogh's art works.
